Expandable / exfoliated graphite
Production:
For the production of expandable graphite, sulphur or nitrogen compounds are incorporated into the crystal layers of large natural graphite flakes. On heating, the graphite layers suddenly expand. The graphite flakes increase their volume several hundredfold in comparison to their original volume.

| Particle size: | 50 µm to 800 µm |
| Expansion rate: | 120 to 350 cm³/g |
